Healthcare x Digital（HxD）は、在日米国商工会議所（ACCJ）関西支部とACCJヘルスケア委員会のイニシアチブです。本イニシアチブは、ヘルスケアのデジタル化及びイノベーションの創出に取り組む国内外のスタートアップや起業家を集めながら、地域と患者のヘルスケアにおけるイノベーション促進に向け、世界のヘルスケア・製薬企業と共にアイデアを発展させる機会を提供しています。そのために、日々データサイエンス、デジタルテクノロジー、AIを駆使した斬新なソリューションの発掘を目指しています。

地域医療や個々の患者ケアにおける日本の最も重要な課題を解決するためには、民間部門と公的部門が力を合わせることが最も重要だと考えています。そのため、アカデミア、イノベーター、非営利団体、民間企業、公共部門を結集させ、現在のヘルスケア環境を拡大する創造的で互恵的なパートナーシップとエコシステムを育むことを目指しています。これらを通じて、下記３点を実現することに取り組んでいます。
1.都市と地方のヘルスケア格差解消：すべての人に良い医療を提供するために、デジタル技術で都市と地方の医療格差の距離の壁を破る
→ 例えば、過去のイベントでは、患者の医療情報を安全に医療者同士で共有できる仕組みの発掘や、医療教育におけるデジタルツールのデザインなどにアドバイスを提供した
2.患者のエンパワーメント：データとテクノロジーによって、社会への貢献を促進できる病院を構築する
→ 例えば、国内のスマートシティーにおける規制緩和によって導入できるヘルスケア技術の模索や、最先端を走る医療機関の課題解決サポートに現在取り組み始めています。
3. 未来の病院を再構築すること：患者が自分の健康についてオーナーシップを持てるようにする
→ 例えば、患者や高齢者を交えたアイディエーション（アイデアの創出）のワークショップを実施し、より利用者の声を取り入れたソリューションのデザイン促進や導入促進に取り組んでおります。

Healthcare x Digital (HxD) is an initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan's Kansai Chapter and the ACCJ Healthcare Committee. The initiative is a group of private and public organizations aiming to foster innovation in community and patient healthcare. HxD's goal is to provide innovators from multidisciplinary backgrounds opportunities to convene and develop ideas alongside some of the world’s leading healthcare & pharmaceutical companies. To achieve this, we aim to uncover novel data science, digital technology, and Ai solutions.

To solve Japan’s most critical challenges in community healthcare and individual patient care, it is paramount that private and public sectors join forces. We seek to foster creative and mutually beneficial partnerships that lead to scaling the current health landscape, by bringing together academia, innovators, non-profits, private sector, and the public sector. Together, we aim to create an eco-system of private (startups and established) and public (governments and NPO) organizations. Our three pillars of focus include: 1. Overcoming the urban vs rural healthcare divide, 2. Empowering patients to own their healthcare, and 3. Re-imagining the hospital of the future.

大阪・関西万博のテーマに含まれる「いのち輝く未来」の実現には、医療アクセスや病気の予防を含む充実したヘルスケアの提供が必要不可欠だと考えています。サブテーマの実現を含め、「いのち輝く未来社会のデザイン」に今後も本イニシアチブのイベントや企画を通じて貢献してまいりたいと思います。

We believe that the provision of enhanced healthcare, including access to medical care and disease prevention, is essential to life, a central theme of this World EXPO. We will continue to contribute to the "designing future society for our lives" through the events and projects of this initiative.
